2003 Salmon River Weed Control Project

Each spring, the WWA participates in a Salmon River Noxious Weed Control Project within the Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness as part of a cooperative effort with the U.S. Forest Service, the Idaho Department of Agriculture, and private property owners.

The 2003 offensive was mounted on the weekend of April 25-27.  This was the WWA's sixth annual weed control project within the wilderness area.  The focus for the 2003 assault was Campbells Ferry, a private inholding located in the heart of the Frank Church Wilderness.  For additional information about the 2003 project, read the Idaho Department of Agriculture news brief.
