2003 Skills Day

The WWA hosts a Skills Day each year in June to help members improve their boat operation and safety skills.  The activities of this event are not keyed to a specific river or river section, therefore the location can vary from one year to the next.

Skills Day 2003 was staged at Cascade Reservoir in central Idaho on June 14.  It was a beautiful sunny day with little or no wind.  Training topics included jet boat safety equipment, safe operating techniques, personal floatation devices and their proper use, and boat maintenance.  One of the highlights of the day was the buoy race where participants had a chance to show off their boats as well as their driving skills.
