2005 Payette River Run

The Payette River Run is typically held each year in mid-May.  Unfortunately, in 2005, for several weeks preceding the target date for the run, the streamflow on the Main Payette River was well below the level the WWA considers acceptable for an organized run.  As a result a run date could not be scheduled.

However, shortly after mid-month, heavy rain fall dramatically increased the water level over the course of a few days.  On Sunday, May 22, with the flow rate around 8,000 cfs and on very short notice a few WWA members were able to organize a group to tackle the river.
