Current Private Powerboat Restrictions:
The control season extends from June 20 through Labor Day. During the control season,
only six (6) private powerboats are allowed on the river at any one time. There are no
limits on numbers outside of the control season.
The recent changes in private powerboat restrictions represent a significant increase of authorized
access over the old "BUD" system. Take advantage of this opportunity. Get
up on the Main Salmon this year and enjoy the beautiful beaches, the exciting whitewater, and the breathtaking scenery.
